Narrative:
Instructional flight. We were cleared for takeoff (runway 16, tango intersection). The tower asked us for an immediate takeoff. My student checked strobes, altimeter setting, transponder settings and then proceeded with the takeoff. Tower might not have thought that we accelerated fast enough, as I think I heard a transmission to abort our takeoff. I am not at all sure of this, however, as the engine noise drowned out all speaker sounds. We took off west/O incident. This incident might never have taken place.

Title: GA INSTRUCTOR PLT SAYS HE MIGHT HAVE MISSED ATCT LCL CTLR INSTRUCTION TO ABORT TKOF.
Narrative: INSTRUCTIONAL FLT. WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF (RWY 16, TANGO INTXN). THE TWR ASKED US FOR AN IMMEDIATE TKOF. MY STUDENT CHKED STROBES, ALTIMETER SETTING, TRANSPONDER SETTINGS AND THEN PROCEEDED WITH THE TKOF. TWR MIGHT NOT HAVE THOUGHT THAT WE ACCELERATED FAST ENOUGH, AS I THINK I HEARD A XMISSION TO ABORT OUR TKOF. I AM NOT AT ALL SURE OF THIS, HOWEVER, AS THE ENG NOISE DROWNED OUT ALL SPEAKER SOUNDS. WE TOOK OFF W/O INCIDENT. THIS INCIDENT MIGHT NEVER HAVE TAKEN PLACE.
