During a position leg with no passengers onboard; I executed a precautionary shut down of left engine due to odor; vibration and low oil pressure indications. Saw red oil pressure indications at cruise (low oil pressure) and pulled back left engine to idle. Felt a bigger vibration and heard a noise as power was reduced. Completed the precautionary shutdown checklist; notified ATC and diverted to ZZZ.
