Narrative:
On takeoff roll; I noted a truck heading perpendicular to the runway at a distance. As we continued our takeoff roll; the truck entered the runway at approximately taxiway wm on runway 18L. The vehicle entered the runway heading west then turned south onto the runway and exited the runway at the next high speed. When I saw the truck enter the runway; I told my co-pilot to call the tower and tell them that a truck was on the runway. We were about 200 - 300 ft above the truck when we passed over it. The truck was not an immediate problem because of the distance down the runway; but could have been a major problem had it been on landing roll or had they crossed at a more critically closer taxiway to us. Suggestion; have transponder equipped vehicles to help tower identify vehicles that have access to active runways and taxiways.
