Narrative:
This engine; general electric cf-34-3b1; was initially received from a contract engine repair vendor at ZZZ in june 2010. Subsequently transferred to ZZZ1 in july. Because of extraneous events; the completion of [additional maintenance to] have engine ready for (line replaceable units) lru mounts did not occur until early september.this engine had extensive work required that should have been discovered during the process of qec (quick engine change) build and testing [at contract vendor]. Additionally there are numerous entries of work accomplished that were a result of maintenance requirements conducted by our mechanics because of parts robbing; etc (et cetera). Better quality assurance oversight required to prevent these reoccurring discrepancies from occurring.

Title: An Engine Shop Mechanic reports about the lack of adequate Quality Assurance oversight by his carrier of engine repair work on one of their GE-CF-34-3B1 engines by a Contract Maintenance Vendor. As a result; numerous Vendor maintenance discrepancies had to be corrected in their company shop before Line Replaceable Units (LRU's) could be installed.
