Narrative:
A crj was inbound to rno from the northeast and was being vectored around a glider with a mode-C. The crj reported the airport insight when I observed a primary target in front of the crj at 3 miles. I called traffic and cleared the crj for a visual approach to runway 16R. The crj said they had a glider in sight at about 8;000 ft; which was the glider they were being vectored around. Several minutes later the glider pilot called me stating that the crj just missed him by 10 ft at 10;000 ft. This was the first call from glider. The crj said they never saw that glider.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: RNO Controller described a close conflict event between an Air Carrier arrival and a glider; noting the Air Carrier was being vectored around another glider but apparently conflicted with another unknown glider.
