Narrative:
On vector for final ILS; I proceeded to 'clean up flight plan'; [but] in that operation lost both fmgcs and got a 'set field elevation manually press fail' ECAM. Took vectors to work through problems. Set field elevation manually and restored fmgcs. Aircraft showed 'CAT 3 dual' with a good id; but never coupled [and] strayed off course; no glideslope. Performed go around and from QRH surmised unable to shoot CAT 1 to minimums required for weather conditions with the available equipment. In communication with dispatch; ZZZ had better than 1000/3 and we diverted to ZZZ.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A320 flight crew experiences dual FMGC failure during preparation for an ILS. The FMGCs are restored and reloaded; but the crew cannot get the autopilot to track the LOC or the glideslope. Crew diverts and attempt to use standby NAV ILS is unsuccessful. ASR approach to landing ensues.
