Narrative:
I was the pilot of ask-21 (glider). Basically I was about 50 ft AGL; established on final for runway 21 (and had been for half a mile) when I saw a parachute appear in front of me on centerline; level and very near. I jinked left; missed him/her and completed the landing. The parachutist was directly over the runway; on centerline and made no apparent effort to avoid airport runway traffic. This was a near mid-air collision; with all at risk. I estimate miss distance as less than 20 ft probably near 10 ft.
