Narrative:

On approach to lhr we encountered moderate rain fall. Once again the windshields on the B777 do not shed the water. The windows go opaque as the rain adheres to the surface. It reduces visibility to the point where you have to look out at a corner of the window where the wipers have cut a path. And even then the wipers perform marginally. These approaches and taxiing with limited visibility due to rain repellent failure is not getting any better. The solution here is to reapply this repellent and give us our windows back. This not a safe condition.
