Narrative:
New arrival gate in ZZZ. Night arrival to parking at gate xx there appear to be two solid lead in lines; equally reflective. The line on the right may be the old lead in line that has not been removed properly. The dgs (self parking device) display is mounted over three stories high and disappears from view while parking. The dgs is offset very high and to the right. From a normal seating position the dgs is not in view at the parking position. This gate needs to be changed to guide-man parking only as soon as possible.

Title: A B737-800 Captain reported the self parking system at a new gate is not located in a position that allows normal viewing by the pilot parking the aircraft.
Narrative: New arrival gate in ZZZ. Night arrival to parking at Gate XX there appear to be two solid lead in lines; equally reflective. The line on the right may be the old lead in line that has not been removed properly. The DGS (self parking device) display is mounted over three stories high and disappears from view while parking.
