Narrative:
During my second solo flight in the traffic pattern; performing touch and go's; I skidded off the runway onto an inactive runway. It was the first landing of a total of 3; when in the landing phase the nose was pointing to the left. I failed to correct with right rudder and the aircraft rolled to the left of centerline as it touched down. To get back to centerline I added right rudder but to much which caused the aircraft to skid drastically to the left. At this time the speed was still high (45-50 KTS). The aircraft continued to skid of the runway into a high-speed exit and onto the inactive runway where I finally took the aircraft to a complete stop. The occurrence was not detected by ATC. My instructor witnessed the occurrence from a nearby ramp. Extra training is in progress before my next solo flight.
