Asked first officer to contact ground for taxi. Clearly understood clearance as 'straight out to bravo; 25R'. First officer responded; 'taxi bravo 25R'. On bravo taxiway we were advised by ATC that we had crossed frequencies. I observed tower frequency on. Re-contacted ground and re-cleared to taxi 25R.

Title: A B757-200 Flight Crew inadvertently called for taxi clearance on the Tower frequency vice Ground Control.
Narrative: Asked First Officer to contact Ground for taxi. Clearly understood clearance as 'Straight out to Bravo; 25R'. First Officer responded; 'Taxi Bravo 25R'. On Bravo Taxiway we were advised by ATC that we had crossed frequencies. I observed Tower frequency on. Re-contacted Ground and re-cleared to taxi 25R.
