Narrative:
We waited after departure time for the weight and balance data. The plane was already loaded from the previous day. Called for it several times. Response was they had contacted the weight and balance department and were waiting to hear from them when it would be ready. Finally after about 20 minutes past departure time; they called us and said they could only find the weight and balance from the previous day (we had the same plane). They said nothing had changed from the previous day. Nothing had been added or taken off the plane; would it be ok if they copied the weight and balance and presented it to us? We said sure. They brought it out; we made pen and ink changes for the different flight number and one less flight crew from the previous day and asked him to copy it. He returned to the plane with the copy and we departed. A while later while in flight; dispatch contacted us via ACARS and said we were given the wrong weight and balance and gave us the new numbers.
