Narrative:

On final approach; first officer (pilot flying) called for flaps 5 and 'te flap disagree' message annunciated on EICAS. Captain and I ran QRH but were unable to configure safely and timely so a go-around was initiated. Tower and radar provided vectors. Captain declared an emergency. [We] completed QRH with flaps 20 for final landing configuration. Consulted landing distance charts as we also had one thrust reverser placarded inoperative. Subsequent approach and landing were uneventful.
