Narrative:
We departed to the south; then after making turn to the north and climbing through about 3;000 ft; we had a bird strike the number one engine. Engine vibration increased but all other engine indications normal. We returned to the airport of departure after running appropriate checklists. Landing and taxi to the gate was uneventful.
