Narrative:
Performed inspection on #1 engine idg quad ring [bolt] torque. Re-safetied idg quad ring bolt. After shift; went home and slept; woke up and realized that I might have safetied the bolt backwards. Filling out the NASA report and worrying about it should be enough to not make mistake again.

Title: An air carrier Line Maintenance Mechanic reports he had inadvertently safety wired the #1 engine IDG Quad Ring locking bolt head backwards on an A330 after checking bolt torque.
Narrative: Performed inspection on #1 engine IDG Quad Ring [bolt] torque. Re-safetied IDG Quad Ring bolt. After shift; went home and slept; woke up and realized that I might have safetied the bolt backwards. Filling out the NASA report and worrying about it should be enough to not make mistake again.
