TYNEE1 arrival into rsw. FMS was indicating a direct course to rsw from coopr intersection; after the STAR was entered into FMS. Good operating practice after SID or STAR entered is for both pilots to review and compare all fixes on STAR or SID with all fixes in FMS.

Title: A Captain reported that his aircraft's GNS Xls FMS did not completely program a RNAV arrival after the original arrival was replaced. A track deviation resulted when the aircraft turned toward the airport instead of maintaining a heading for vectors.
Narrative: TYNEE1 Arrival into RSW. FMS was indicating a direct course to RSW from COOPR Intersection; after the STAR was entered into FMS. Good operating practice after SID or STAR entered is for both pilots to review and compare all fixes on STAR or SID with all fixes in FMS.
