Narrative:

Iwa has de-ice equipment; but the tail is unable to be de-iced. According to the ramp manager it was never approved. We have no way of knowing when the tail is free from ice; yet we are forced to guess after the wings are de-iced. [This is] unsafe. The lead ramper said he brought up the issue regarding the tail upon taking the course to become certified to de-ice and was told 'don't worry about it'.

Title: An air carrier pilot at IWA reported his aircraft's tail section was not being deiced. That issue has been taken care of at least temporarily.
