Narrative:
On initial approach into sadf; we were cleared for a visual approach from a left downwind. We were experiencing language difficulties in the terminal area. The approach controller in his attempt to pass us off to the tower was very difficult to understand. He instructed us switch to 120.5 for tower; when we could not contact tower on that frequency we tried the frequency that was listed on the commercial charts for the tower which is 120.7 then tried ground control frequency of 121.65. We then flashed our landing lights several times on final and continued on our cleared visual approach to landing. After landing; at the customs ramp we talked to ground control and discovered that the frequency had recently been changed and our commercial charts provider had been notified. On arrival back in the us we again downloaded the approach charts for sadf and the frequencies are not in agreement. With language difficulties and improper information we had a potential for compromised safety.
