Narrative:
Departed sun river airport. Tracked wbound 257 degrees using LORAN navigation. 10500' (altitude encoder turned on) did not request flight following. Maintained 10500' until 20 mi from airport. With creswell airport in sight started descent. Eugene ATIS reported 76 degree wind 020 degree at 5000'. Creswell airport is 535'. I crossed creswell 2500', made a 270 degree left turn and leveled at 1500' MSL left downwind for runway 15. Made a left base check power 1800 10 degree flaps. Turned final. Realized I was a little low, increased power and noticed a blue flash. I immediately realized I had flown through power lines. I increased power and as airspeed increased, raised flaps. Flew a go around and landed runway 15 creswell. Note: there are no VASI lights at creswell. The small aircraft received minor hull and propeller damage.
