Narrative:
While working the departure pit; I amended a flight plan on a C560 who had filed pbi direct sav. I applied the correct routing from pbi to sav on a between the pluses amendment indicating that only this portion of the route needed to be read to the pilot. Subsequently; I noticed that the remainder of the routing to the destination was not the preferential routing so I made another amendment to change the entire route. This time I forgot to apply pluses or indicate in the remarks that an amendment had been made. Thus; no amendment was read to the pilot and he was cleared 'as filed.' the aircraft entered ZJX on a routing different from what was coordinated electronically and has been properly processed as an operational deviation. I have been making amendments exactly like this pretty much everyday. I haven't made a mistake like this in the past and I certainly do not anticipate doing so again in the future.
