Narrative:
Departed tamiami runway 9L and was given traffic; a C172 on downwind; as I made a turn north at airport boundary. As I climbed to pass behind the traffic as instructed by the tower; a second airplane; a navion; passed below me right to left and was in my left window. I was unaware of the second airplane.

Title: Low wing light twin pilot reports NMAC with a Navion during VFR departure from TBM. The Tower had pointed out a C172 on downwind but did not point out the Navion or was unaware of its presence.
Narrative: Departed Tamiami Runway 9L and was given traffic; a C172 on downwind; as I made a turn north at airport boundary. As I climbed to pass behind the traffic as instructed by the Tower; a second airplane; a Navion; passed below me right to left and was in my left window. I was unaware of the second airplane.
