Narrative:
We were cleared 35R; maintain 5;000 until corol. At 5;000 and at corol we got a TA and then an immediate instruction from approach to turn right immediately. Apparently the aircraft turning onto 35C overshot and was descending into our approach. Controller later relayed that we were not at fault and that they needed no follow-up for them but the TCAS showed a very disturbing picture.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: An Air Carrier aircraft on the DFW ILS 35R approach received a TCAS RA and ATC command to turn right away from an aircraft descending for 35C which overshot its centerline.
