Narrative:
A beech 1900 was assigned 1;600 with a correct read-back. While monitoring the spacing between two preceding arrivals the beech 1900 descended to 1;100 at which point MSAW activated. A low altitude alert was issued. The sole reason that I'm filing this report is that the MSAW activated appropriately. The system worked the way it was supposed to.
