Narrative:
An airbus was launched on parallel runway. We were cleared [to] takeoff when the bus was airborne. We didn't know we were on the same SID. Because of the performance difference; we were soon on a collision course with the A319. I turned off the auto pilot and rolled left. The airbus pilot told departure he had an RA; however was not in visual with us at his 6 o'clock. Have no idea how the controller expected that departure to work.
Original NASA ASRS Text
