Narrative:
I was in formation with five other aircraft when at an altitude of 1;000 ft I had an engine failure. I was about one and one half miles from runway 7L. I had very little power and declared an emergency on our flight frequency. The flight leader relayed the information to the tower and told them they had an aircraft that was making an emergency landing at the closest runway. I just had enough time and altitude to get my gear down and make it to a safe landing on runway 7L. This runway was closed to traffic for repaving. It was on a day where no equipment or personal was working on the runway. No damaged was done to the aircraft on landing and I rolled to a stop off of the runway onto the taxi way. From the time of engine failure to wheels stop was about one minute.
