Narrative:

Approximately 1 hour 15 min into the flight; flight attendants were in the aisle doing our beverage/meal service when the O2 masks dropped. I shouted to the passengers to pull masks down and put them on while I went from mask to mask as I pushed the cart to the galley. Once in the galley I was joined by flight attendants 4 and 5. We took O2 from the jumpseat O2 masks; carts were stowed. We donned O2 walk-arounds and checked on passengers. Number 1 came to the back to inform us that we were to do a planned emergency checklist. I retrieved my B757 checklist from my manual and took it to 1st class for the brief. We were able to complete the entire list. When I completed my list I checked in with number 1; checked on the passengers on my way back to my jumpseat; buckled up and landed without further incident.the aircraft had a history of mechanical problems and had been in the hanger for the past two days; the aircraft came directly from the hanger. I do not know why this happened. When masks dropped all flight attendants worked together well; preformed duties per company procedures flawlessly. Even I was impressed! It is very difficult for parents to keep O2 masks on small children. We had four little people on board...they could not get in either of the 'brace positions'.
