Narrative:
Passengers were allowed to exit the aft airstairs. An agent was at the left wing. No agent at the aft airstair. Passengers were allowed to wander around the aft portion of the aircraft. At burbank this is dangerously close to runway 15. This is a disaster waiting to happen.

Title: MD80 First Officer reports that passengers being deplaned through the aft airstairs are not properly monitored by the gate agents at BUR; where the runways are in close proximity to the tail of aircraft parked at the terminal.
Narrative: Passengers were allowed to exit the aft airstairs. An agent was at the left wing. No agent at the aft airstair. Passengers were allowed to wander around the aft portion of the aircraft. At Burbank this is dangerously close to Runway 15. This is a disaster waiting to happen.
