Narrative:
[We] accepted ILS 4 into lga with NOTAM limiting approach to aircraft with RNAV GPS capability. [It was a] confusing NOTAM. [We] flew the approach visually the whole way. Discussion with other crews revealed the NOTAM. It occurred because of the oddity of the NOTAM and the fact we never deal with RNAV or GPS because we are not so equipped. This NOTAM should have been clearly spelled out and in the top of the release as it directly affected operations into lga that day.
