Narrative:
Aircraft cpdlc was very slow several different times connecting to ATC and had not yet connected to singapore [ATC] from manila ATC. Captain asked by voice; on a very congested frequency and a very difficult to understand controller; for deviation around thunderstorms to the east of course. No limitation on a distance east of course was made or heard. Manila ATC advised singapore ATC that we would be over tegid intersection. We were not; nor would we have requested that since tegid intersection was in the middle of the weather we were avoiding. Singapore ATC asked us to call when we got on the ground. It sounded by the phone call we were approaching another airspace facility to the east that manila may not have advised of our deviation.
