Narrative:
Right engine failure at FL340. Aircraft shuddered and flames at exhaust visible. Engine rolled back to sub-idle. No fire or high egt. Engine secured per QRH. Emergency declared and fire trucks requested. Single engine approach flown by captain. ATC gave 20-mile final to the runway and then put an airbus in front of us so we had wake turbulence from 1;500 ft AGL to the ground. Complete handful. Offset to right to stay out of it to 200 ft AGL. Rollout uneventful. Fire trucks inspected engine and taxied to gate. Dispatch contacted for emergency and divert plan with no response.
