Narrative:
After departing the gate at ord, my flight was delayed 4 hours and 30 mins before taking off due to thunderstorms. During this ground delay my company redispatched my flight to shreveport which was along my route of flight to the original destination of iah. However, because ATC was saturated on the ground at ord, I failed to receive a clearance for the new destination and departed ord with a clearance to iah. I realized my mistake over little rock, ar and requested the appropriate clearance.

Title: ACR FLT WAS RECLEARED SHORT OF DESTINATION BY COMPANY BUT FLT CREW FAILED TO OBTAIN NEW ATC CLRNC PRIOR TO TKOF.
Narrative: AFTER DEPARTING THE GATE AT ORD, MY FLT WAS DELAYED 4 HRS AND 30 MINS BEFORE TAKING OFF DUE TO TSTMS. DURING THIS GND DELAY MY COMPANY REDISPATCHED MY FLT TO SHREVEPORT WHICH WAS ALONG MY ROUTE OF FLT TO THE ORIGINAL DEST OF IAH. HOWEVER, BECAUSE ATC WAS SATURATED ON THE GND AT ORD, I FAILED TO RECEIVE A CLRNC FOR THE NEW DEST AND DEPARTED ORD WITH A CLRNC TO IAH. I REALIZED MY MISTAKE OVER LITTLE ROCK, AR AND REQUESTED THE APPROPRIATE CLRNC.
