Narrative:
The wrong navigation database was loaded for this flight; south america instead of europe. It appears this airplane has been flown this way for three days. Although cdg and lhr are in the south american database; fra is not. This is a trap. Maintenance supervisor advised me that checking the navigation database is not part of the ETOPS check. This is a big trap. High compliments are in order for the relief pilot who caught this problem on preflight.
Original NASA ASRS Text
