Narrative:
I was flight attendant #3. I had just brought up the second meal cart to the mid galley to continue the meal service; when flight attendants #4 and #9 said to me; 'something's burning. You smell it? It's a fire...' I immediately checked the nearest lavatory but found no smoke; heat; fumes. Upon shutting the lavatory door a passenger from business class approached me asking me for another extinguisher. I went to the nearest storage in the mid-galley for the extinguisher. In the process of acquiring the extinguisher; I looked to my left and saw flight attendant #8 with the halon; extinguishing the smoke at the video screen on the bulkhead. The fumes were extremely strong; smelling of burning plastic. Five minutes after observing extinguishing of the electrical fire; the announcement on the PA was given; 'safety alert; safety alert'.
