Narrative:
I was informed by my manager that there was a discrepancy on a B737-500 aircraft system I last worked on. I recalled performing the work described and related the event to my manager. I remember taking the cable apart to make the adjustment two or three times and upon completion of the last adjustment that was within the limits required; I secured the ground spoiler interconnect cable to the main landing gear (medium large transport). I told my manager that I would never knowingly send an aircraft out with an incomplete job done and can't believe I did not properly secure the cable to the gear. I was told the discrepancy was found on a walk-around inspection at a [contract] maintenance facility in ZZZZ. I know of no reason why this was overlooked by myself or my inspector; if in fact I was the last person to perform any work on this system.
