Narrative:
Could not strip request an olm strip even though it was on the pilots flight plan. Route line was different than the pilot's actual file route. Route line on scope showed tonno direct kbfi and by passed olm even though the pilot would be flying over olm. Recommendation; allow strip requests for fixes in the pilot's filed flight plan route and have the route line match the the pilots flight as closely as possible.

Title: ZSE Controller voiced concern regarding the failure of the ATC computer system to provide strips under certain route filing scenarios.
Narrative: Could not strip request an OLM strip even though it was on the pilots flight plan. Route line was different than the pilot's actual file route. Route line on scope showed TONNO direct KBFI and by passed OLM even though the pilot would be flying over OLM. Recommendation; Allow strip requests for fixes in the pilot's filed flight plan route and have the route line match the the pilots flight as closely as possible.
