Narrative:
Cleared for ILS 5R from smo. Speed 200 KT assigned; gear down; checklist complete. Passing smo descended on profile; speed 180 KT assigned then assigned 160 KT. Flaps 3 selected. At lead radial managed speed requested; flaps full selected and approach armed. Descending from 8;800; glide slope captured first. Upon localizer capture aircraft banked; pitched up and was followed by a 'speed' call. Auto thrust and autopilot were immediately disconnected and approach was completed manually. Runway 5R was in sight and eventually we sidestepped to 5L for uneventful landing.
