Narrative:
I was departing teb. The clearance was ruddy two departure to parke. During my checklist/runup procedure; I was interrupted by ground control who instructed me to taxi ahead. After taxiing ahead; I continued my checklist/runup procedure and I failed to continue from the point in my check where I was at the time of the interruption (the instrument checks/setup). When cleared for takeoff; the tower asked me if I was familiar with the provisions of the departure; so I taxied onto the runway reviewing the highlights of the departure and failed to verify my heading with the runway heading. Upon departure; I turned to heading 240; as called for by the departure. Departure notified me that my heading was not correct and instructed me to turn right. Looking across at my right side heading indicator; I immediately; realized that my heading indicator on the captain's side was not set correctly.
