Narrative:
On approach to runway xx; we had numerous instrument conflicts and a missed approach was accomplished. This instrument problem showed up again on the second approach attempt and the second missed approach. A new approach to a localizer was only considered as the weather was improving. The aircraft was descended to approximately 600 ft MSL prior to the 720 ft restriction at the final approach fix. A terrain caution was received and a missed approach was executed. Aircraft diverted to the alternate. I should have taken extra time to brief the approach properly by diverting my attention to the approach and only the approach.
Original NASA ASRS Text
