Narrative:
Approximately thirty [minutes] out from departure; all the lights on the aircraft started blinking rapidly; along with a continuous chime. The captain informed me of an electrical problem; to prepare for an emergency landing; [it would be] twenty minutes back to the airport and evacuation was not expected. We went through the planned emergency checklist in order up to the point of assigning/briefing assistants when the captain had us prepare for landing. We landed and taxied to the gate with no problems. All other crew members (cockpit and cabin) acted in a calm; professional manner.
