Narrative:

Number one engine had consumed much oil in first three legs since installation (new) previous day. [We] left with 21.5 quarts according to both the ECAM indication and the mechanics who serviced the aircraft. By top-of-climb [we were] down four quarts. [We] continued to burn (according to cockpit indications) one quart every twenty five minutes. [We] diverted into [a suitable airport] showing 12.5 quarts on final. After landing; quantity returned to 17.0 quarts when engine shut down at gate. Were informed by maintenance controller next day they changed out the secondary oil heat/fuel cooling exchanger.
