Narrative:
While outbnd on the jot 330 degree right (nwbnd) at 6500' VFR under flight following by ord approach control, the controller said I violated the TCA by going inside the ord 30 DME arc by 1 or 2 mi. A supervisor later said the ord TCA only goes to 25 mi (which is also per the charts). Supervisor also said the controller may have been unfamiliar with the TCA limits and was using a scope that was not portraying the TCA correctly!! This is an intolerable situation where violations are freely handed out for TCA violations and very little recourse can be had ben conscientious pilots. Big brother controllers had better start being more conscientious! (Before accusing an aviator of a mortal sin!).
