Narrative:
Flying straight and level at 6000' MSL, observed a government small transport Y approaching from left rear quarter on a collision course. We broke to the right and avoided the other aircraft with closest distance less than 500'. Small transport Y continued to fly straight and level and did not appear to have seen our aircraft. This incident emphasizes need for see and avoid collision avoidance.
