Narrative:
While conducting ground reference maneuvers with a military introductory flight screening (ifs) student; a cessna 172 appears from under our wing on the right side at approximately 30 to 50 ft below us traveling from right to left. After the cessna passed below us; we made a turn to the left to watch their direction of flight and it appeared to leave the area.

Title: A PA28 Instructor pilot at 1;100 FT reported that a C172 passed 30 to 50 FT below him as he was conducting ground reference training with his student.
Narrative: While conducting ground reference maneuvers with a military Introductory Flight Screening (IFS) student; a Cessna 172 appears from under our wing on the right side at approximately 30 to 50 FT below us traveling from right to left. After the Cessna passed below us; we made a turn to the left to watch their direction of flight and it appeared to leave the area.
