Narrative:
Just prior to next to last fix on arrival we were given a runway change from 26L to runway 27. Upon executing the change in the FMC the system reset the entire arrival and went into heading hold while it recalculated. We caught the error and transitioned to heading select to recapture correct course. As the new assignment was given just prior to a 90 degree turn to the east on the arrival the aircraft continued straight ahead for approximately 2 NM. We had already entered the turn to correct the course when we were questioned by approach. No loss of separation or deviation notice was given. [We] continued to uneventful landing.
