Narrative:
I was working ground control and controller in charge combined. I taxied a challenger to runway 24 for departure. I observed the local controller clear the challenger for takeoff and then subsequently switch him to departure. About a minute later; the local controller informed me that they got a call from ewr tower asking if we were talking to our departure who was at that time about 5 miles south of teb at about 1;500 ft. This put him right below the ILS approach into ewr. I later became aware of a loss of separation with an aircraft on approach to ewr from the N90 supervisor who called to discuss the incident. Recommendation; according to the supervisor who reviewed the incident all procedures were followed properly by the controllers at teb. I am unaware of any actions taken by the pilot or controllers at other facilities that may have played a role in this incident.
