Narrative:
Shortly after departing we got an idg 1 low oil pressure ECAM. After disconnecting IDG1; since we had a long over water flight; we decided to return and exchange our aircraft for a more capable aircraft to fly over water. We performed a very soft overweight landing at 138;600 pounds and quickly received a new fully functional aircraft. We left less than 2 hours late with a full plane of satisfied customers and crew.
