Narrative:
As I was climbing to my cruise altitude I started to notice my left engine running rough. I checked all of the engine instruments and noticed that cylinder #1 was indicating an egt that was 600 degrees less than the others. I asked to return to my point of departure to have maintenance performed of the aircraft. ATC treated it as an emergency and I landed without incident.
