Narrative:
In cruise confign, at 9000' MSL, approximately 20 NM southeast of mke, left engine spooled down to 50% ng. Engine was shut down as per checklist. Attempted to relight engine. Was able to achieve 52% ng. Engine was left running due to availability of partial power and gen power. Operations at ord and mke were notified. No emergency was declared, however trucks were requested to follow aircraft to gate. Normal landing was made at mke.

Narrative: IN CRUISE CONFIGN, AT 9000' MSL, APPROX 20 NM SE OF MKE, LEFT ENG SPOOLED DOWN TO 50% NG. ENG WAS SHUT DOWN AS PER CHKLIST. ATTEMPTED TO RELIGHT ENG. WAS ABLE TO ACHIEVE 52% NG.
