Narrative:
Unable to extend flaps during approach and flap indicator showed very slight split flap (asymmetry) with flap handle in the up position. Executed missed approach and advised ATC. Ran appropriate checklists and concluded that a no flap/slat landing was required. Declared emergency with ATC; requested arff to stand by; contacted company; sent message to dispatch. Approach and landing were uneventful. Described problem to maintenance supervisor and made entries in logbook.

Title: B737 flight crew reports inability to extend trailing edge flaps during approach. A go around is initiated; an emergency is declared; and the QRH is consulted resulting in a no flap landing.
Narrative: Unable to extend flaps during approach and flap indicator showed very slight split flap (asymmetry) with flap handle in the UP position. Executed missed approach and advised ATC. Ran appropriate checklists and concluded that a no flap/slat landing was required. Declared emergency with ATC; requested ARFF to stand by; contacted company; sent message to Dispatch.
