Narrative:

While taxiing to runway 33; ground cleared us to cross runway 25. The ramp area; taxiway; and runway are all paved together. Taxiway centerlines are clear; but these markings are not shown on the taxi charts. After verifying with ground we crossed runway 25; immediately clearing that runway is a 90 degree turn to the right to runway 33. The hold short line and runway sign were missed by both crewmembers. Ground informed us to stop which we did. We completed pre-takeoff checklists; were cleared for takeoff; and no incident occurred. No other traffic was observed at the airport or vicinity. The expected route to runway 33 was briefed by the crew prior to taxi. Due to lack of detail on the taxi chart; it was initially confusing that the taxiway would take us across the approach end of runway 33. Even while looking for the hold short line; we both missed it because it is located 90 degrees from the runway 25 hold short line and not located where we were expecting to see it. The location of the hold short line was discovered during postflight and consulting a satellite image. In my opinion; this area should be detailed as a hot spot on the taxi charts. This would have been briefed prior to taxi; all markings and positions anticipated; and much confusion eliminated.

Title: A pilot reported that he taxied beyond the DET Runway 33 hold short line on the ramp south of Runway 25 because; looking at the airport taxi diagram; he expected the ramp area to look different and in his confusion missed the faded hold lines on west side of the massive ramp.
